Writer: Knapp Community Care FoundationKnapp Community Care Foundation

In partnership with the Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation, the second class of our Nonprofit Leaders for Excellence program is underway. In September, we kicked off the 10-month journey with 11 incredible nonprofit leaders from the Rio Grande Valley. The group will gather monthly to learn, network, and collaborate on leadership, governance, operations, and more. Congratulations to our second cohort of leaders!

Meet the second class:

Crystal Rodriguez, The Weslaco Museum

Lidiana Ramirez, Proyecto Juan Diego

Edward Camarillo, Sunshine Haven, Inc.

Astrid Alheli Dominguez, Good Neighbor Settlement House, Inc.

The leaders will meet monthly through May 2024. The full-day sessions cover all aspects of effective nonprofit leadership as it relates to governance, fundraising, legal issues, staffing, communications, data evaluation, and more.

These leaders are becoming stronger and more effective, and they are building a network that is leading to collaboration and excellence.
